10 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape Province in South Africa is astoundingly diverse and, in parts, deliciously undeveloped. In winter, snow sometimes dusts its distinctive mountain peaks, and in summer, its sparkling coastline lures throngs of surfers, swimmers, and sun lovers. MUMBO ISLAND: A HIDDEN GEM IN MALAWI

According to its website, Kayak Africa run Mumbo as an entirely off grid, green camp to keep it unspoilt.

Mumbo Island Camp accommodates 14 guests. The camp is built with timber, thatch and canvas, and is perched on high rocks that overlooks the water. According to its website, this was done to“create a ‘Robinson Crusoe’ atmosphere of rustic charm”. Its decor sticks to the green ethos, with all the furniture and art sourced from the locals.

In the eastern Red Sea city of Hurghada, tourists lounge on sunbeds on the beach or play volleyball as boats carrying divers pass by. Among them is Bent Skovboe from Denmark, a 77-year-old who says he has visited Egypt more than 75 times.
