Stenson the big drawcard at this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge

Henrik Stenson returns to the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player for the first time in three years when the 2016 Open Champion tees up in the penultimate Rolex Series event on the 2019 Race to Dubai from November 14 to 17.

The Swede, who lifted the trophy at Gary Player Country Club in 2008, became the first male Major champion from Scandinavia when he triumphed in The 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon three years ago. He recorded a final round 63 in a thrilling battle with Phil Mickelson, which drew comparisons with the legendary “Duel in the Sun” between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus in 1977.

Yes, the Parliamentary Rugby World Cup is an actual thing and the team representing South Africa has proven to be far from pushovers.

Much like the actual tournament, beginning in Japan on Friday, the parliament version is also held every four years, and serves as the curtain raiser for the global spectacle event.

SA medal hopeful Zazini pulls out of IAAF World Championships

The list of top South African athletes not available for the IAAF World Championships in Doha continues to grow, with rising star Sokwakhana Zazini the latest to pull out.

The 19-year-old was a medal hopeful in the men’s 400m, where he boasts a personal best of 48.73 seconds, which he achieved in Italy early in 2019.

The Proteas are eager to get India tour started

The Proteas are keen to get their tour of India off to a winning start as they gear up for their first T20 international encounter against their hosts at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday.

The tour consists of three matches across three different venues (Dharamshala, Mohali and Bangalore) that boast different conditions, but David Miller believes that the team is more than up to the challenge.
