Mosimane Opens Up About Sundowns’ ‘Legacy’

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes CAF Champions League football is part of the club’s “legacy”, and says the team have to deal with the pressure that comes with it.

While the Brazilians’ 15 PSL rivals are preparing for the final league game of the campaign next weekend followed by a hard-earned break, Downs will again be working through the holiday period as they contest continental football.

The Brazilians kicked off their Group C campaign on Saturday with a 1-1 draw against holders Wydad Casablanca, the team that dethroned Downs last term after knocking the PSL giants out at the quarter-finals.

2018 King of the Hill: Times tumble, Nissan dominates

The 2018 Jaguar Simola Hillclimb delivered an enthralling mix of thrills and excitement, with some stunning new records being set on the Simola Hill – both amongst the competitors’ times, as well as the number of spectators attending the three-day event.

More than 17 000 people attended the ninth edition of the Hillclimb, held in Knysna from 4 to 6 May, about 2000 more than last year’s record-breaking attendance.

Rabada makes most of suspension

Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has admitted the past week has been “a bit of a whirlwind”, but he is taking it all in his stride.

The young bowler is currently suspended for the next two Test matches against Australia for brushing the shoulder of the visiting captain Steve Smith during the second Test at St George’s Park.

Cricket South Africa are appealing the decision, but the 22-year-old is just trying to put it all behind him.

Luvuyo Memela was kept on the bench as a tactical secret weapon‚ Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has said after the forward came on and scored a brace in the Buccaneers’ 3-1 Soweto derby win against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
