J-Bay Open 2019

A pro tournament in one of world’s best surfing destinations

J-Bay Open also known as Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay is a World Surf League competition held every year at Jeffreys Bay in Eastern Cape, South Africa. A legendary surfer Kelly Slater has won the first J-Bay Open as well as competitions in 2003, 2005 and 2008. J-Bay Open was the sixth stop on the Men’s Surfing Championship Tour 2018. It is also notoriously famous since surfer Mick Fanning was attacked here by a shark during the final.

MEC Basikopo Makamu said yesterday his department has set aside R8.24 million for the construction of RDP houses.

Nearly 7,000 poor families who have never owned a house of their own will soon have a roof over their heads, following a financial injection by the Limpopo cooperative governance, housing and traditional affairs department.

MEC Basikopo Makamu said yesterday his department has set aside R8.24 million for the construction of RDP houses.

Most of the houses would be built in far-flung rural areas of the province, as the majority of poor people lived in rural areas, Makamu said.

NELSON MANDELA BAY COALITION A HUGE SUCCESS

This is according to the Democratic Alliance’s provincial leader for the Eastern Cape, Nqaba Bhanga. The coalition in the city is led by the DA.

Bhanga issued a statement on Monday, saying that the coalition “remains united and focused on delivering services to the people of the city”.
