AB says a major trophy for SA ‘feels close’

London – This isn’t what AB de Villiers stopped playing Test cricket for.

Countdown has begun for rugby’s debut at Moses Mabhida Stadium

Rugby will make its much-anticipated debut at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday 16 June when former Cell C Sharks favourite Fred Michalak will lead out a star-studded French Barbarians side against the SA ‘A’ team in Durban on Youth Day. This match will kick-off at 16h45.

Over that weekend, the City of Durban will proudly host not just this festival match, but also the Castle Lager Incoming Series Test between the Springboks and France at Growthpoint KINGS PARK, on Saturday 17 June (kick-off at 17h00).

Cape Town City sign defender Jeitoso

Cape Town – Cape Town City FC have announced their second signing of the post PSL season, with the addition of Mozambican International Captain, Jeitoso, on Monday.

The Citizens have been expected to expand their squad after securing CAF Confederation Cup football for next year’s edition.

Last week, City officially announced Ayanda Patosi as their first major signing with the 24-year-old joining from Belgium club KSC Lokeren.

Monaco win ends Ferrari’s dry spell

Sebastian Vettel stretched his championship lead over Lewis Hamilton to 25 points yesterday when he became the first Ferrari driver since Michael Schumacher in 2001 to win Formula One’s showcase Monaco Grand Prix.

Teammate Kimi Raikkonen, on pole for the first time in nine years, lost out in the pit stops but secured a Ferrari one-two with Valtteri Bottas third and Daniel Ricciardo fourth.
