Local beach makes most colourful places in the world list

South Africa may have been dubbed many things under the sun but one thing is for sure, the country prides itself on flying the flag high up when it comes to its colourful people and attractions.

And the latest accolade is being included in CNN’s compilation of colourful places in the world that affirms what we already know when it comes to our country’s attractions – after all, we are known to be a rainbow nation.

Ranked at number 2 on the list of 25 world’s most bright colourful places, SA’s Muizenberg beach surpassed places found in the Tokyo, Arizona, Italy and France to name a few – see full list here

Tory Lanez won’t make it to SA, but French Montana’s got your back!

Mabala Noise may have just avoided a major backlash from fans by introducing Moroccan-American hip-hop artist French Montana as part of the Vodacom Durban July, as Tory Lanez’s “replacement”.

Mhlo Gumede, the label’s spokesperson clarified that French Montana was not a “replacement” for Tory Lanez, but rather he was meant to be a surprise international act. It just so transpired that Tory pulled out as French was announced.

MIDLANDS Hindu Society, supported by the Msunduzi Mayor Themba Njilo, hosted the third International Day of Yoga in Pietermaritzburg Cabineer’s Garden on Sunday.

This day is commemorated on June 21 every year across South Africa.

The session lasted for two hours, which yoga lovers enjoyed.

PlayStation VR Passes 1 Million Units Sold

That’s up from 915,000 back in February.

PlayStation VR, Sony’s virtual reality headset for PlayStation 4, has reached a new sales milestone. The company has now sold more than 1 million headsets, according to The Verge.

This is up from the 915,000 figure that Sony disclosed in February. The $400-$500 headset launched in October; one major new release was Farpoint, which came out in May.

PlayStation executive Shawn Layden told The Verge that he expects PSVR sales to climb higher, remarking, “It’s still just a million units.” He added that sales should pick up this year as a result of Sony being able to better meet [...]
