Africa must unite to make Paris Agreement work

President Jacob Zuma has urged the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change to work closely together to make the Paris Agreement a success.

“Climate change is a global challenge that requires no one to be left behind. The whole world affirmed this in Paris and Marrakech when the Paris Agreement entered into force on the 4th November last year,” said President Zuma on Monday.

The President was speaking at the Meeting of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC) at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters in New York.

Esther Mahlangu Gets Her Own Boulevard in the Big Apple

New Yorkers are getting their turn to bask in the bold colours and graphics of legendary Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu, who has just been honoured with a mural dedicated to her work in the Big Apple.

The tribute was painted in Tribeca by New York-based artist Imani Shanklin Roberts. Crossing Franklin Street and West Broadway’s Citi Bike station, the painting spans a two-lane road and features Ndebele symbols that Shanklin Roberts says are a celebration of feminine energy.
