HARARE RESIDENTS HAIL FIRST VIOLENCE FREE ELECTION

Many of the city’s residents are still sceptical that this means the opposition party will win Monday’s election.

Nearby, Zanu-PF, the party that has ruled Zimbabwe since independence in 1980 also held a rally. One thing is certain: for the first time since independence — the end of white-minority rule — Robert Mugabe will not be the president after an election.

We leave it to readers to estimate the size of the MDC Alliance rally at Freedom Square using the top photo on this article.

PROTEAS START ODI WITH A WIN: THANKS TO BOWLERS

Some consolation for a disappointing tour they claimed four wickets each to help bowl out Sri Lanka for 193, a total the visitors passed in just 31 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

It’s about a future where eCommerce is driving the digital economy across Africa, supported by the broad reach of a media organisation that has deep penetration through traditional print, has a steadily growing digital audience, a [...]

LOWER DEATH RATES LINKED TO SEEING SAME DOCTOR

If you would like someone to defend you in a court case, would you keep switching lawyers? If you would like a stable, nurturing marriage, would you repeatedly get divorced and re-married? If you would like a winning team or company, would you hire only interim coaches or CEOs?

If you answered “no” to any of the above, then you can see why the findings from a recently published study in BMJ Open are not surprising. Researchers from St Leonard’s Practice (Denis J. Pereira Gray, Kate Sidaway-Lee, and Eleanor White), University of Exeter (Angus Thorne), and the University of Manchester (Philip H Evans) in the United Kingdom conducted a systematic review of studies [...]
