Volkswagen’s attractive T-Roc to go topless

Volkswagen has announced it will introduce a drop-top version of its attractive new T-Roc compact SUV.

To be launched in the first half of 2020, it will be VW’s first convertible SUV and continues the German firm’s major model offensive into the sports utility market.

“Volkswagen is evolving into an SUV brand,” said Dr. Herbert Diess, CEO of the Volkswagen brand. “The T-Roc is already setting new standards in the compact SUV segment. With the cabriolet based on the T-Roc, we will be adding a highly emotional model to the range.”

Panic after 900 cases of listeriosis recorded in SA

Listeriosis has caused panic among South Africans, in a country where it has killed over 160 people and made hundreds sick.

The latest statistics show that the listeriosis outbreak has now claimed 172 lives and 915 laboratory-confirmed cases have been reported to the National Institute of Communicable Diseases since January 1, 2017, they have said.

That means the 64-year-old Xi, who also heads the party and the military, might never have [...]

‘Angry and bitter’ Mugabe says Mnangagwa ‘must apologise’

A bitter Robert Mugabe says new President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his allies should apologise for last year’s military operation that ousted him from power – and he doesn’t think Zanu-PF will win this year’s polls.

Mugabe made the comments at a private party held for him on Saturday at his Harare mansion to celebrate his 94th birthday.

“They must accept and apologise that what they did was wrong,” the private Standard newspaper quoted Mugabe as telling guests, who included ex-members of Mugabe’s former cabinet.

Can they be trusted again?

He revealed that the ruling party still wanted to work with him ahead of elections due in July, [...]
