Facebook Adds Closed Caption Options to Facebook Live Broadcasts

A key part of Facebook’s broader effort to ‘connect the world’ is ensuring that everyone in the world can first connect with Facebook and utilize The Social Network. Or as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg puts it:

“…making sure everyone has equal access to information and is included in the conversation”

Within that approach, Facebook’s been working to provide greater connectivity options for vision and hearing impaired users – and today they’ve taken the next step, adding the capability for Facebook Live broadcasters to add closed captions to their live-streams.

Countdown has begun for rugby’s debut at Moses Mabhida Stadium

Rugby will make its much-anticipated debut at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday 16 June when former Cell C Sharks favourite Fred Michalak will lead out a star-studded French Barbarians side against the SA ‘A’ team in Durban on Youth Day. This match will kick-off at 16h45.

Over that weekend, the City of Durban will proudly host not just this festival match, but also the Castle Lager Incoming Series Test between the Springboks and France at Growthpoint KINGS PARK, on Saturday 17 June (kick-off at 17h00).
