Snapchat adds Group Story tool to stay ahead of Instagram

San Francisco – Snap, the maker of photo and video-sharing app Snapchat, unveiled a new tool that will let people collaborate with their friends on video stories about events, a product update that could provide a boost in its race to stay ahead of Instagram.

In addition to posting to their own stories on the app, users can now decide to create a group video story around an event like a birthday party or a wedding, and invite their friends to contribute clips for a compilation, the Los Angeles-based company said in a blog post on Tuesday.

Mpumalanga mountain lodge reopens after six years

Blue Mountain Lodge, situated between Sabie and Hazy view, Mpumalanga, reopened last month, after being closed for six years. The lodge was acquired by Lefe Group from the Netherlands in November, 2016.

The lodge sleeps 30 guests. It comprises a manor house as well as, eight Victorian suites, four quadrant suites, and the Ballentine suite. The suites each accommodate two guests. South Africa’s latest nanosatellite now in orbit

The Department of Science and Technology(DST) announced on Wednesday that South African nanosatellite nSight1 had been successfully launched from the International Space Station last week, on May 24. nSight1 was designed and built by SCS Space, part of the local SCS Aerospace Group, and is the country’s, and indeed Africa’s, first privately-owned nanosatellite.
